Jaguar I-PACE vs. Tesla Model X in Boerne, TX

The Jaguar I-Pace makes its debut in 2019 as the first Jaguar to join the world of electric vehicles. Winner of three titles at the 2019 World Car Awards, this battery-electric crossover is more than prepared to hold its own in the competition. But how does the I-Pace compare to the Tesla Model X? We've highlighted a few of these model's features below. Aside from a dramatically lower starting price, find out how the Jaguar I-Pace shines in the competition.

All-wheel drive comes standard for both the Jaguar I-Pace and Tesla Model X. And while the Model X can go an estimated 250 miles, the I-Pace isn't far behind at an estimated 234 miles. When it comes to responsiveness, the I-Pace is a step ahead, while the heavier Model X is a bit slower to respond to the driver.

Interior & Exterior

It goes without saying that the Jaguar I-Pace far surpasses the Tesla Model X in looks. The height and curved shape of the Model X looks clunky besides the low, sleek body of the I-Pace. Although the Model X has more seating options and cargo space than the I-Pace, passengers in the Model X may find the available third row a bit tight. The Jaguar I-Pace offers optional leather seats that aren't available on the Model X.

Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ come standard with the Jaguar I-Pace, but are not available in the Tesla Model X. While the Model X offers a 17-inch touchscreen, the Jaguar I-Pace comes with two separate touchscreens, the 12.3-inch Interactive Driver Display and an available Head-Up Display, which shows important vehicle data on the windshield to keep you safely informed as you drive.

You won't have to sacrifice safety for style and luxury. Both the Jaguar I-Pace and Tesla Model X offer plenty of active safety features that allow for a confident driving experience, like parking-assist, lane keeping assist, blind-spot monitor and a 360-degree camera. But many of the basic safety features in the I-Pace come standard, while most of the safety features in the Model X are available at an extra cost.
